So on occasion I go for long walks, I am not sure why exactly other than to procrastinate but I do. recently I have decided that these walks ought to happen at night for one reason or another but mostly because I have already seen everything during the day and I dont really like people very much.

Anyways on my more recent walks I noticed a few things .

Used cars have gotten just absurdly cheap. I don’t know what the argument for buying a new car is these days, but whatever  it’s not good ! If your truly too lazy to get an oil change every 5000 miles and maybe do a tiny bit of maintenance,  maybe you ought to just walk or see a medical professional. These are some of the examples I saw on my

Now these may not be the most amazing cars in the world but they will get some one to and from work who requires a car. One should also note that these cars are on used car lots, which means that better deals can probably found from private sales. I honestly wonder how much the car dealer can possibly be buying these for to make a reasonable profit. ( I figure they make most of the money on financing these days)

My walk was through the city of San Leandro. San Leandro is to the east of Oakland its a very small city but its an interesting one particularly if your looking for a nice and affordable place to live in the bay area. I Don’t live in San Leandro but I wish I did.

This is why:

• Safer than oakland, I don’t feel like looking up the crime stats but it is
• Bart – I think if you live in the bay area and you live more than 3 miles from BART you are doing it wrong ! ( don’t waste your money living in the southbay it sucks)
• Kaiser Permenente is building a brand new 1 million sqft facility, as soon as this is operational real-estate prices will sky rocket due to the influx of well paid health care workers and a supply of housing which currently only holds a population of roughley  86,000 people.
• OSI Soft along with the city of san leandro is currently deploying a large municipal fiber network the chairman of the FCC recently visited the deployment !
•  several other large companies are head quartered  the area  Jansport, ghirardelli chocolates, TriNet to name a few and yes there are more.
• The city has a beautiful marina and golf course ( lots of people don’t know this )
